But I’m glad you wrote something like this, I’m too tired of people expecting too much from Medium because they keep comparing themselves to Tim, Sean or Zulie.

It’s not a lie what you wrote, sometimes it’s about luck, sometimes all you need is a viral story and sometimes, you need a sweet publication.

Recently, I heard the change of the new editor of Better Marketing and ever since then, my articles submitted to the publication got rejected. We never really know what’s going to change. Who knows? Medium could start curating just works published in Medium-owned publications.

I’m slapping my head to wash away that imagination.

I believe creating your personal publication is the best, but with the new things on Medium, like the homepage, bet no one’s going to see it. Because what they’re doing is further promoting Medium-owned pubs mostly.
