Is the word “mixed” now offensive???

To be honest, I don’t really get it. I love to learn everyday, I’m willingly to learn about anything race and this is a first for me, because I don’t exactly understand why calling someone mixed is offensive. If you’re biracial, aren’t you mixed? Just saying. I’ve been called mixed in an all black nation for looking lighter, I didn’t exactly feel bad, but with the way you explained it, it’s like saying the word mixed means they think you’re not black enough for them to call you completely black.

Oh well.
