It's not heartlessness. It's a real perceived injury that needs to be redressed by the offender. They really believe they are doing the right thing. I'm not saying it's right, and I probably shouldn't be attempting to make distinctions in such a short space! Be careful, you seem really lovely and I say that because it's naive to think it's just heartlessness. Watch your back!
