To My Dear Medium Friends, I’m Not Dead

My sincerity from me to you

Hello everyone, I’m happy you clicked to read this. You’re probably my Medium friend, fan or follower if you saw this, and you most likely clicked to know where my name has been on Medium. Or you’re a curious fellow.

I’m a writer on Medium, I write about anything I fancy, by “anything I fancy,” I mean anything I feel the world needs to know about. I love expressing myself through words, it’s a lot more therapeutic than I imagined. I’m certain you might understand what I mean. However, these past few months, I took a break from writing — this to me means having the smile of seeing your responses wiped off my face for a while. Deciding to take a break from writing meant I was fully prepared to be forgotten by the people I bonded with on Medium and wherever I put out my work, at least I thought I was prepared.

Things don’t always go as planned and we as humans are bound to accept that. I went off social media and did my best to be a student who had little or no time for herself due to the delay in school work over the pandemic, I remembered relieving stress by writing and reading from you lots — my favorites on race, true crime and humor. And connecting with my writer friends on Twitter and Slack, being an editor for a fast growing publication with awesome writers as well as trying to discover distribution secrets to soothe my nerves. It was all fun.
